Kanzu washing station is located in Nyamasheke, overlooking Lake Kivu. Kanzu, surrounded by coffee and other crops, employs 50 local workers during the harvest from March to July. Rwanda’s coffee industry has received significant aid since the 1994 genocide, notably through the PEARL and SPREAD projects, which improved farming practices and market access.
